The carvings on the sarcophagus depict female demon Lamasstu, a Mesopotamian figure often associated with Lilith. He was eventually buried in an ornate sarcophagus, which came to be known as the Ankaran Sarcophagus, due to its discovery near Ankara in modern-day Turkey. Oddly, for those 250 years, Messerach is the only king listed on record. Messerach, the One-Eyed King, was a ruler in ancient Assyria, some time between 1050 BCE and 800 BCE.
